FAQ
Breathe Easy: Answers to Your Questions
Experience & Background
-
We’ve been creating wedding films since 2005. Our team members started with smaller companies, gaining experience, before officially launching Breathe Artistic in October 2013. My brother, Justin, has been working alongside me as both a shooter and editor for over 15 years, and together we bring a seasoned, family-team approach to every wedding.
-
Over the past 20 years, we’ve captured an average of 50 weddings per year—that’s well over 1,000 weddings. With that much experience, there’s very little we haven’t seen or handled.
-
In most cases, yes—we’ve filmed and photographed at countless venues across the region. If we haven’t worked at your specific venue yet, we’ll study it thoroughly in advance. We’re always happy to share full galleries and films from venues we’ve covered so you can see our work in action.
Style & Approach
-
Our style is a blend of cinematic and documentary storytelling, with options for traditional coverage if you’d like a more timeless look. We customize each film and gallery to fit your personality and preferences, so no two weddings look the same. Every couple’s story is unique—and we make sure your film reflects that.
-
We are always at least a two-person team—you’ll have both myself and Justin as your cinematographers. For larger weddings or luxury events, we often bring in a third or even fourth shooter to ensure every angle is covered.
-
We’re highly organized and efficient. For especially large events, we may bring on extra shooters to ensure nothing is missed. Our priority is to keep the day running smoothly while capturing all the joy, fun, and details—without making you feel rushed.
-
We go above and beyond to deliver both artistry and complete coverage. From same-day edits and content creation, to flying drones, to filming with up to six cameras during ceremonies, we make sure no moment goes unnoticed. Many studios focus only on highlight reels, but we also provide long-form edits so you can relive every toast, every laugh, and every detail for years to come.
Packages & Pricing

For weddings within 50 miles of our office, there are no travel fees. Beyond that, a small travel fee may apply. For destination weddings, clients typically cover travel and lodging costs.
-
We keep it simple: an initial $2,000 deposit secures your date. The remaining balance is split into two payments—half due four months before your wedding, and the final payment two weeks before your big day.
Planning & Logistics
-
About a month before your wedding, we’ll send you a detailed timeline form to fill out with key times, addresses, and must-have photos. Then, we’ll schedule a call a week or two before your wedding to finalize everything. This ensures we’re completely aligned and ready to capture your day smoothly.
-
Absolutely. We work closely with your planner, DJ, and venue staff to make sure the day flows seamlessly. Communication is key, and we always prioritize collaboration so your day runs perfectly.
-
We typically recommend 1.5 to 2 hours for portraits, which gives us plenty of time for family groupings, bridal party photos, and romantic shots of the two of you. If you’re having a church ceremony, we often adjust by doing family portraits at the church and then finishing the rest at your reception venue.
-
We bring professional studio lighting and backup equipment to every wedding. Whether it’s a dimly lit reception or a bright outdoor ceremony, we’ll make sure you always look your best.
-
We always have a backup team on standby. While this is extremely rare, we plan ahead so you’re fully covered no matter what.
Videography-Specific
-
Our films combine cinematic artistry with documentary authenticity. You’ll get sweeping, movie-like moments alongside candid, emotional storytelling. Every package includes a highlight reel and a longer feature film.
-
Our standard team includes two videographers, with the option to add more for larger events.
-
Audio is just as important as visuals to us. We use multiple microphones and backup systems—everything from discreet mics on the groom and officiant, to connections with the DJ’s system—to ensure clean, clear audio throughout the day.
-
Yes! Drone coverage is included in all of our packages (weather and airspace permitting).
-
Your highlight film will run about 3–7 minutes. Your feature film (with ceremony and reception formality coverage) will typically be 30–90 minutes, depending on your day.
-
Raw footage is available as an add-on. We keep it for up to a year after delivery and notify you before deleting it, so you’ll always have the option.
-
Teasers are delivered within 5–7 weeks, while final feature films are delivered in about 3–5 months. We also offer same-day edits, wedding reels, and content creator packages with much faster turnaround options.
-
For highlight films, we license music through “Musicbed” so your videos remain copyright-safe when shared online. You’re welcome to browse their catalog and suggest songs. For feature films, you can select 3–4 songs of your choice.
